Has anyone had an experience with the Xfrog products? and are they worth the expense. I am not very happy with the current 3d trees available with Artlantis and was considering the xfrog products. Need some more 3d & billboard plants from the Oceania region, if anyone can point me the right direction that would be great.

Hi Mckay

I have purchased xfrog tropical DVD, the plants take a while to convert to Artlantis .oaf parts but they are one of the best purchases I have made. With the 3d plants there are 2D elevation renders of the plants which can be turned into billboards easily with BBbuilder.

I also bought Trees of the South Pacific artlantis billboards from www.envirographic.com which are the best billboard plants available.

Good luck

Hi Mike and Ryan;

I met with Artlantis 3 weeks ago. I thing ATL is the easiest render program. I especially like atl objects. Im a student. Im studying at landscape architecture.So Im a exterior designer and important part for me is plants.

I dont try xfrog but I tried Vbvisual sample and bionatics sample and these are not good enough. Itried evermotion plants but these are max files. I succeded to convert one of them max to aof files. These plants brilliant for me :) I attached a render evermotion plant.

I read your post ryan and I will try xfrog too.And write again.

I am sory; my english is not good enough.
Thanks...

HI
The Xfrog DVDs of plants come as .3DS .max and .obj files with all the texture maps which are easily opened in artlantis.
