I've noticed that Studio 2 now seem to render a single image that is then converted the QTVR *.mov file. The original Studio rendered six images and knitted them together into the final QTVR file.

My question: is there a way to convert this QTVR image into a *.jpg that can be post-processed in Photoshop, and then converted back into a QTVR? I know about post processing in Artlantis, but this would open up a wider range of possiblities.

Answering my own post:

Looking more closely, I see the six cubic views are being rendered simultaneously. Presumably Artlantis breaks these up into six images when it converts the render into QTVR.

As for converting the VR into editable images, I did a search for "QTVR to JPEG" and found a number of little programs that will do this.

When rendering a VR in .mov Artlantis caluculates the 6 images and then gives the hand to QuickTime then the VR is built.
