How can I get the rid of the DARKENING when looking thru one pane of glass to another? Notice the dark glass to the left and right of the CARD TABLE... All glass is clear, yet when seeing the 2nd pane behind the first, it gets really dark....

Thanks!

Duane

Hi Duane,
I had same effect some times ago. There it was the fresnel settings. Maybe it's to low. What shader and what settings did you use?
Cheers Patrick

I am beginning to think this has more to do with the COMPLEX PROFILE walls(ArchiCAD) = glass than with the Frenzel shader.

I just completed over 100hrs of animation rendering and noticed a lot of BLACK crap in my windows. Some look like the ONE PANE OF GLASS was actually two triangles with one piece getting the black treatment and the other not.

Has anyone else had trouble with complex profiled wall of glass?

Duane

Ok, maybe it's not the profiled wall idea... I see one of these panes is a window and one is a profiled wall...

Here's a picture of what's going on...

I also have a window problem.

It happens when I try to use the curtain wall feature on archicad. This forces me to use simple windows and repeat that work on and on and on. Which is really, really bad.

So if someone can understand what is the problem here, I would appreciate some help quite a lot.

(this is a render. in the preview window, the windows look good)
