Hi

I was wondering how do make a turntable animation in Artlantis studio ...... I want the animation to be the same speed with the same start and end position (as in 4.5)

also how do I make an animation longer ..... I have a 30 second animation but its too fast so I want it to be 60 seconds ..... i changed the duration but when the animation gets to 30 seconds it just sits still for the last 30 seconds !

cheers

Hi Klaus,

I answered part of your question in another post - see below.

To change the duration, you need to change the duration of the output by dragging the right hand grey marker on the timeline (you should notice the duration of the animation changes). Also make sure to move the keyframe for the end to match the new duration. Finally, when rendering make sure to choose the right number of frames (ie All Frames or perhaps 900 frames which would be 30 frames x 30 frames per second if this is your framerate).

From post in other forum:

Here is how I do it:
1. create an animation
2. create a path
3. while in path edit mode, right click on path and choose "close path"
4. Adjust path spline/bezier to make a better circle (it may look like an oval or infinity sign)
5. now you have a loop that will begin and end at exactly the same location
6. render out as a series of jpegs (you can choose .avi or .mov etc instead but I prefer a series of still images). If you do you are done at this point.
7. Import into video editing program (in my case after effects or premiere pro)
render out as a loop
8. (optional) choose "intepret footage" in after effects and choose to loop twice. Then set compostion up for 1 loop duration. This way you can slide the footage on the timeline to choose where the loop starts and stops (after the rendering is done). This way you do not need to think about where to start the loop when you are rendering in Artlantis.

hope this helps.

Hi Albert

thanks for the answer .... the problem I have is that there are many many keyframes etc in my animation and to move all of them manually will take ages .... all I want is a simple control to make the entire animation 60 seconds long instead of 30 seconds

In Art 4.5 all I used to do is increase the sequence duration and all my control points and speed changes would adapt to the new time

Studio is rubbish for simple linear animations and even worse for QTVR's
