At the moment Artlantis cannot not handle Vectorworks files with class names more than 32 characters. This means our class names are not as intuitive as we'd like them to be.

Are long classs names something that might be supported in the near future (next version?) or should we only expect it in the long term?

I'd really like an answer to this if you could Abvent. We're trying to decide on our Vectorworks Classes template and this will have a major bearing on our strategy.

Yes currently the limit is 32 characters which is not due at
Artlantis R but at the VectorWorks export technology.

Ah, I see where the confusion lies. I thought you were talking about Abvent's Vectorworks export plugin.

So, just to be clear, you're saying it's not a problem with Abvent's Vectorworks plugin but with restrictions in Vectorworks itself?

If I'm not mistaken this looks to be overcome with the v12.5 export plugin. Dunno who achieved it: Nemetschek or Abvent but I'm very happy, thanks!
