You could put in more details. maybe stair nosing, put some kind of handrail on the other side as well if that's even possible. just add more small details. like the attachments to the ceiling, attachments to the stair itself. Give it something to break up all the wood that you see, i feel kind of lost looking at all of the wood in your images, but that's just me.

I would think that the design of the hangers wouldn't pass code (at least not in the States) because a child could fall right through the cables supporting the staircase, it's a no no.

I reject your idea with stair nosing, but you have reason for hangers (loops) that. I must add on each degree hanger (loop) one by one. Difference is between hangers (loops) oversized. Children put heads between hangers. I has not thought about it. It thanks for calling attention. ;)
