Finally I can show some work, because the project is offically dead.
It's a animation I did recently for a presentational DVD.
It show a spa/wellness center in Erfurt, Thuringia, Germany.
The site is one big hall with solar panels all around, a small cafe and the surgeries on one side behind the red doors.
52 Sec, 25 fp/sec = 1300 frames.
720x404 px
~ 80 hours rendering time on my C2D iMac
I learned a lot from this one. A lot of complex materials/reflection. The waterfall looks better then expected, it's just the Freznel Water shader applied to a 30 meter tall block that is moving down in the first seconds. It's too much like glass of course, but oh well.
I underestimated the 3D plants, they look better then expected.
Then this animation showed some bugs in Artlantis, seemingly there are problems applying a texture to rounded surfaces, that's why the rings around the plant areas are just brown color. It also shows again that Artlantis has some major problems with AA/AF, Abvent if you are reading this ... :/
In the final video I added the sound of a waterfall decreasing over time and tried some different pieces of music.
