Hi guys and girls,

I am having trouble with importing my sketchup model with the all the lines drawn on my elevations. The attached image is a view of the sketchup model, I imported the dwg from AutoCAD and modelled from there.

Is it possible to get these lines on the evelation to show in artlantis?

I am using sketchup 7 and artlantis 3

thanks

This you won't be able to do I'm affraid to say. Artlantis is not going to show those lines you painstakingly put into the model. I'm not really sure if there is a way to represent them other than maybe taking a high quality hidden line style B&W image of the edges from Sketchup then rendering the exact same camera perspective in Artlantis. Next you would need to composite them in Photoshop or GIMP by simply set the hidden line image on top of the rendered image and setting the blend to multiply.

You will end up with something like this...

You can do this by setting up the Edge and pastel parameters in the Postprocess dialog of your cameras (the button with the red, blue and green line on it)

Grujic, he is wanting to show the lines he has applied to the model from inside Sketchup. The Edge and Pastel effect won't do this and most of the time that effect looks really generic anyways. I'm pretty sure the only effective way to get a good clean line is to use a method similar to what I was saying...

Silly me, I thought that he actually modeled the thing ... not so hard with Sketchup, but hey ... whatever floats your boat.
