Does anyone have any wisdom re: how to use the new shader maker in ver 2? I have been using it I see that it creates duplicates of the image files for specular, bump, and other maps.
If we edit these maps and leave them in a directory where Artlantis can find them will they automatically update the shader we created when we reload the files?
I guess there will be a notification when opening the file. People who have bought a new computer, like for instance a fresh crispy Windows machine, mean and lean, know of this notification.
You are asked for Artlantis to search (you can specify a location) or replace (you have to know a location) the missing links (this can be shaders or objects). I most of the time choose a Drive to search (this speeds up the search a lot, and you don't have to choose to much, sometimes I choose "My documents" or "Program files") and then I do a little walk or make some coffee or I make a phonecall with Mom. But you could also just wait, because the search process is fairly quick.
