Hello,

When I want to create my own shader and add it to an object in my 3d model it isn't shown. When I click on the object it shows my shader on the thumbnail, but in the model it stays gray (or the shader i added earlier in sketchup). Second problem is when I add texture on a surface. Only a little square of my texture is added on the much larger surface, instead of the entire surface.

Thanks for your support

Niels

Hi Haelewyn,

Please check if there is a texture mapped on that surface! Textures are always mapped on shaders, and you can check it by opening the Shader inspector and clicking on the surface. If there is a texture, the Inspector will highlight it.
Delete it (click on the delete sign in the upper part of the drawer) and the shader will become visible.

Hi Haelewyn
The other point to remember is to tick the check boxes to repeat the texture horizontally and/or vertically - that will cure your little square problem. You will find these at the bottom of the texture panel - see attached. Its not obvious and tricked me initially too.
