Attachment : Waterbank..jpg

Hi all,

Im just starting to teach myself the depths of artlantis, I have been using the basic stuff and producing some fairly average renders and am really trying to push it now. I would really love some feedback from this render.

Also I am trying to find a way to make the edge of the bank darker and shiny, as if the water has lapped up and made it damp. any suggestions for that would be great.

Thanks

Dolan,

The image you post has a double dot in it. That is why it doesn't show in the post.
The 'double-dot bug' has been solved a long time ago.
Try to upgrade artlantis.

Personally I would like a bit less reflection of the water, it would give more depth..
This way it looks like bottle inserted into mirror.
Otherwise, great render, congrats!

Thanks, I agree but I havnt managed to find a decent material for the river bed yet :S Also I think the bottles need to be a little less reflective too.

Maybe, or the bottle glass is too thick, so it shows ok :)
I dont think that you need a river bed, just increase transparency of the water to show a bit of the bottle and should be fine :)

Attachment : water and bank take 2.atl

Okay here's the second try :)

Fiddled with the water and bottle shaders and I think they turned out much better.

Comments and particularly criticism more than welcome.

Thanks Asree, Ive had some comments that the rock in the foreground is too bright and spikey but i'm not sure im going to change it. It took over 3 hours to render!
