hi
i have
intel(R) core(TM)2 quad CPU
Q9400 @ 2,66 GHz
3,00 Gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT (1gb)
and I'm using Artlantis Studio 1.2.6 on winXP(32-bit) sp2
i have no problems with placing objects or lights, but rendering process lasts for more than 3 hours (resolution: 1024x768,anti-aliasing: high, raytracing: 6, transparency: 16, shadows on and radiosity: high)
and the batch renderer freezes on the first image (i left it working the entire weekend)

Thanks for the reply Sjaak.
I have set the 3GB switch and I have set the transparency to 6 so my rendering time dropped from 3 to 2,5 hours which is also too long. I experimented with low, medium and high radiosity it does not effect the rendering time.
In addition I have reinstalled both artlantis and windows and nothing has changed.

Hi Sjaak
I know they slow down the render so I never use them :). I don't even use the glazing shader (i use basic surface with transparency set to glass). I also limit the reflection and I'm trying not to use any lights inside (only the heliodon). I don't know what else to try.
