ATL animations are just time consuming.
Radiosity and resolution are needed for decent
output and as it stands no help from Abvent for
render farms or equal.
To be fair I have never found a really quick
animation solution with quality output but
apps like Cinema 4D do render farm.
If you use Sketchup there is a plugin for animation
using Kekythea (free) but I have not checked it out.
It took 13 hours for 11 seconds of animation in
ATL S for me and this is just too time intensive to be useful for my purposes.

There is a workaround for rendering on multiple machines but you need multiple licences. Animations can be rendered as seperate frames in .tga ot .jpg files and then compiled using quicktime pro. Each computer is assigned a certain frame numbers ie computer A renders frames 1 to 300 while computer B renders frames 301 to 600. As far as I know Artlantis is very fast for movies.

13 hours for 11 seconds sounds good to me. I didn't realise when I bought Atlantis it was going to take so long to render animations and whatever you do don't try using Radiosity. I'm not sure what it's supposed to do (still can't get the Neon effect to work) but it certainly multiplies rendering times by a factor of about 10.
