p.s. i used some textures above the shaders in order to achieve that look, i am not realy sure about the glass though...

I like the cosmic space hotdog metaphor, it's very pertinent.

What effect would you like to achieve at the end? Now it looks as if this "hotdog" was peeling off, and in those places, very coincidentally, appeared the glass surfaces. Maybe you should accentuate it more, and give more contrast by keeping the glass very clear and shiny. It's just an idea.

for the first ones i want smthing of crowling-floating-animal, for the last one (it is way bigger) smting more solid but transparent.

the idea comes from the human cell, so the first is mitocodrio and the last the core.

i might not explained it well :S

more pictures to come i am in the biggining yet. this is a huge project as i said :P

as for the glass yeah the clear one seems nicer.
