Do you have windows media player 11? You will need to open the file in a video editing software and export it with a codec to compress the size, to make it play smoothly.

I just did the same thing! Took about 80hours to render 1min animation... When all was done... ALL media players said this was a BAD CODEC or CURRUPT FILE...

I have since split the render into 3 parts... (yes, that means BACK to ArtLantis and RE-Render in 3 stages) and I will be combining the parts tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes..

Each of the smaller parts have played flawlessly by themselves...

Render out as individual frames (ie jpg) and assemble in video editing program.

If you do this you can save the animation in several formats without losing quality and you have the frames that have already been rendered if your computer crashes or you need to interrupt the render.

PS what size frame are you using for animation 3Gb for 1min animation is excessive , dvd quality resolution is 852 x 480 pixels

I probably should have simply reanimated the path at the lower resolution... I went 1024x768 as I though it was to be a computer show only.

After many saves from QT Player PRO, I found that Sorenson compression 3 put me at about 50mb for the same file.

I now find that without starting at DVD frame size, my movie looks like crap when pushed into Premier Element and burned to dvd. Live and learn, I guess.

If you have any ideas on how to keep the 1024x768 and create a DVD, I'd love to hear them...

Thanks,

Duane
