sorry I posted this yesterday and disappeared from the forum. So here goes again.
Is there a way to edit an Object center point (blue dot) so that we can rotate it about a point different than the default center that Artlantis gives it?

I already answered your question yesterday, but something is wrong with the forum and the post still dissapear.
Hey Ghassan,
to change the point of origin of an abject, simply open the object in Artlantis.
The go in the object menu and the you can choose the point of origin of your object, e.g. center x, y oder cameratagret. its a pulldown menu right under the endless ground.
I hope the terms I am using are correct, trying to remember what the where called since I am now using a german version.
But check out the Animation forum, I remember there were a view posts about this too, eg. when you want to rotate a door in a movie you sometimes have to change the point of origin to the pivot.
