Hi all,

just wondering if anyone could help.

Ive been getting new objects either 3ds or objects from archicad and opening it in Artlantis and exporting out as Aof files. but for some reason when I place the objects into scene the blue dot appears but no object. for some I found the object was so far away from the blue dot, and others it doesnt even appear even resizing it up.

thanx

The blue dot is just an anchor point. Either the object is actually far from the anchor point or the object is too small. Try zoom extent in 2D view. In object inspector view, see whether the object is listed. If the object to small, you can easily scale it.

I have also had times when ArtLantis seemingly starts running out of memory and will not display the object! It doesn't display in 2d or in 3d...

Sometimes just deleting and re-placing the object works. Other times I need to restart ArtLantis.

There have also been occasions where the INSERT POINT is far away from the actual entities. Be sure that you hit the checkbox CENTER X,Y and Bottom in the SCENE INFO prior to saving the object...

Also not that you can open up AOF directly and edit and save and they remain OBJECTS....

Hope that helps,

Duane
