I tried to render an interior scene with some spotlights and some neonlights attached. I tried rendering this scene about 6 or 7 times, always with different settings (high, medium, low), but after some time (about 4 to 8 hours!)the render progress stops, though the program is still working. I used batch render, but this also happens if I render directly. I don't have problems if I don't use the neonshader.
My scene has a lot of polygons and is about 40MB big, I used Artlantis V3.02. Machine Intel core 2quad Q6600, 2.40Ghz, 8GB RAM, nvidia geforce 9800gt, Windows Vista 64bit
Has anybody else encountered these problems?
Now I uninstalled Artlantis 3.02 and reinstalled Artlantis V3.01. Seems that this works - hopefully! my scene is still processing...

Hi Lars, I have almost same pc config as yours, and I've found that windows vista slows artlantis a lot.I used to have vista 64, but changed to seven 64 and artlantis 3 works prety fine there... hope that helps

Don't use it as a light source. Unless you and your clients are immortal.

Unfortunately it's quite difficult to simulate the light of a tubelamp only using spotlights... I reduced the neonlight on only one source. This works, though it needs a long time to render. I hope Abvent will work on this problem.
