Hi Cian,

Let me say....that was very good. You're Artlantis file must
be huge! I think it could look a bit more realistic but if you made it that way you would probably still be rendering right now. I think the path was smooth and the objects look great moving around every where! Good job.

Regards

Joseph

Thanks Joseph.
The .alt file is 150 MB. I was amazed that artlantis didn't crash. Not even once. It contains hundreds of objects. I would like to have made it more realistic like putting a 360 view of the surrounding environment with a real sky. I found it hard to get the colour of the houses right without making it look like lego-land. The deadline for the animation is tomorrow but I will try and improve on it for myself in the near future. It took me ages to model and it would be a shame to no play around with it.

Cian
Well done, very smooth and easy to watch. Did you find out why your objects were rotating in your last movie?

Hi Mike.

Haven't a clue why that was happening. It was really strange. Every flower object rotated 180 degrees in the second scene but the rotation angle was set to 0 in the first and second scenes. Another strange thing happened. The green fiat punto in the last scene kept changing its rotation. I would set the rotation angle and when I would reopen the project the car would have changed its rotation by 90 degrees. Not a big problem but very strange.

Hi cian
You did a great job i am working an a project that have the same file size
And my file is also very stable no crashes at all I was working on an other file
And that crasht all the time till I discover that there are some wrong objects where
Used from archibase I think it is important to have good object because it take a lot off time to find out what is wrong whit that kind off file’s.
But anyway a great job. I am curios Howe long the render time was and the time to making the whole project. what program you used for making the movie
I try on this moment macix video theluxe .

Hi Peter.

Sorry for the late reply. Off the top of my head it took a solid month to produce. When I work out my hours and send my client a very large bill I will tell you how many hour went in to it. I modeled it in Archicad 10 and I put the clips together in Quicktime pro. I rendered a quicktime movie at 480x360 resolution cause its going to be put on the internet and it rendered at around one frame a minute. Got me a big ass computer : ) .I sent my clips along with internal animation which I made with cinema 4D to another company who do film work and they will combine my work with theirs.
