Hi to all,
now I'm working with ATL for quite a time and first of all I really like this program.

But meanwhile there are some little things I'm missing in this program. A lot of them were already written in some other thread but this two can't be a problem for the software-engineers of Abvent:

1. There should be the possibility to save a complete scene as an aof. Meanwhile I have converted a lot of objects into aof but each time I have to create a scene I have to recreate sampled objects for new. And I have to do it again and again. For example I have a lot of dining tables and dishes. But some of them I like more than others. Now you set a scene with this dining table and the dishes on it. And you have to do this each time again. OK. You can create a single scene with the table and the dishes and export this scene as obj or something else but than you have to retexture it. Please give us the possibility to save a scene made out of aof-objects as a new aof-object. To create small sets like this dining table with dishes is fastest to be done in ATL.

2. The possibility to use object assistant (Object inspector) to select and separate single parts of a model not only in the original scene. Make it possible to use it on aof objects which are placed in a scene, too.

Sometimes it is necessary to change or delete something being in an aof object. At this time you have to open the original aof, do your changes, save it and place it again. That's not useful. It would be easier if I can make changes on an aof in the scene.

Cheers
Patrick

Would also be nice to be able to 1. have the means to select a number of light fixtures with embedded lights or a number of tree billboards and then 2. be able to change multiple settings for the group in one instance.... something i need to do very often.

I think it's a good idea Patrick,

I wondered too if is better to avoid a huge file drop objects. AOF (such as tables, plates etc) in the scene instead to import them directly into the scene with the CAD file.

Thanks.

In case of lights, you can select several light sources in the same time (use the Shift or Ctr while selecting in the list). It works even for those light sources which are embodied into a 3D geometry.
For objects, you cannot make similar changes unfortunately. There is a sole possibility to change the shaders of all instances placed into the scene with a single click.

Patrick, thanks for your ideas, I'll transmit to the Artlantis product manager.
