Hey Folks,
I've been trying to figure out for the last little while if there is any way to distort the perspective in Artlantis. By distort, I mean to change the the the two or three vanishing points within the perspective model. Sketchup has the "field of view" command that affords you that ability. However, when the model is imported into Artlantis you lose that emphasized perspective. Does Artlantis have the ability to adjust the perspective the same way that Sketchup does?

'Field of view' in sketchup is something like setting the angle of the camera.
In ArtLantis that can be done in the camerainspector. At the top of the camerainspector there is a slider called 'Focal(mm)'.
With this slider you set the type of camera lens in mm. You can also maually set a value by typing it in the field at the right of that slider.
Take note: in sketchup the viewcone broadens by setting a higher value, because it is measured in degrees. The angle you can view from your viewpoint. In ArtLantis the viewcone broadens by setting lower values, because it is measured in mm. Focal length of the lens you use.
In the 2D-view window you can also set your 'field of view'. A lightblue cone/triangle represents the field of view. You can change it by dragging the darkblue outlines of that cone/triangle.
Hi Sjaak,
Wow, all this time that I've been using Artlantis and I've never stumbled upon this myself; how embarassing. I've tried the "Focal Slider" by increasing the value and noticed that it changed my camera position, so I stopped using it. I will try lowering the value and using the light blue cone thing to adjust the "field of view".
Thank you for your help Sjaak. You have been a big help.
