Why a halo links to a light source (Lampe ou Heliodon) has no effect?

The light source must cast its rays toward the camera.
NB: In the Advances parameters of Lamps, if you use the potions of distance A and B. Although the light source is directed to the camera, this one must be placed in distance A or B, if over the halo will have no effect.
