Seen some links in this forum for downloading ready made billboards, how do you bring them into a file?
Also, when creating my own billboards, I'm having to tile image horizontally and vertically in order to have it show up on billboard. If tiling options are not selected, don't see image, even if I play around with its placement on billboard... is this
a bug?

Looking forward to some feedback,

thx

Hi Palmer,
the ready made billboards have to be saved in a folder and can be used like any other object.
Regarding your own billboards I don't know how you create them.
There is a little freeware program called BBBuilder. You can find it in the WWW easily.
The billboards used in ATL have some special format and maybe thats why your billboards do not work. Just use something like BBbuilder and it will be no problem. If you look through the threads by search function you will find some longer explanation how to make and use them.
In the middle of this thread: http://www.artlantis.com/index.php?page=support/forum/read&mes=16418&fid=atl_wip
I wrote some longer explanation on using BBbuilder and how to create billboards with this program.
Greetings
Patrick

thx Patrick for your useful info.
Got BBuilder, although I'm a little disappointed it doesn't let you adjust "softness" as far as edges of image is concerned. Have done edge adjustment in PS and that improved appearance. Will keep working at it,

In Artlantis you can create your own objects, and shaders but you cannot create your own billboards. Therefore you won't find settings to adjust properly the edges of images.
I don't know BBuilder, I ca advice you only workarounds how to map an image on a plan and set transparent the surroundings of the image.
