Hi
I just had a look at Ignacio Duran's new movie in the video gallery and although it very well done I was very concerned about the many flashes of shadows throughout. As Ignacio is obviously a high end user of Artlantis it seems that he has just had to put up with it to get the work done.
If I was a developer of Artlantis I would be most embarrassed about this.
I am still using version 2 and I have not yet seen any reason to purchase an upgrade that seems so flawed.

Also it seems that what you are saying is that this bug continued all the way through version 2 without being fixed. Could you please confirm if this bug has been fixed or will it remain until version 4.
I agree, Ignacio's animation is cool but some of my clients would find this unacceptable.

This is not exactly the same bug between an animation and a render, we encounter a problem of flickering, and here you show me another problem that is an approximation of the shadows on blinds.
Developers try to enhance the quality of the radiosity but we have to keep good performances at the same time...it's quite difficult like you can imagine and we constantly do our best to fix all the bugs.
For the version 3, if you encounter this type of problems you can fix it by using expert parameters for the radiosity, adjusting the long and the short range to calculate with more accuracy little zones like blinds.

hi mike and stephane, thanx for your comments, i use the version 3 of artlantis and yes its a big problem the flickering stuff http://vimeo.com/13002723
Quick way to resolve the problem i change the radiosity setting form high to low, but i lose depth in my animation and its the cost of don't get the flickering.
Maybe if i adjust the shine and reflection of the texture or material it will cooperate but i don't got the time to do it.
Other way to adjust the depth and color in post for the animation its making color layer animations like the psd file but in this case a animation layer. And use After effects to create matte masks.
