... what kind of objects? ... artlantis usually opens the most common formats like skp, obj, 3ds, fbx, etc. .... save it again you just format AoF and add to the catalog. :-)
thanks luciano i know it can open those formats i don´t have a problem with opening, the problem is that i don´t know how to add them to the catalog, do i save it in a special format, because it say save as object, but i don´t know how to add them, where dop i go to add them....

did you manage to open objects from other websites with Artlantis? I have a lot of 3DS objects from the website Archibase, but I can`t use them. I don`t know how I should open them in Artlantis 3. The you-tube tutorials didn`t help me...

Hi János,
I hope you are kidding?
Just start ATL and when the window opens and ask you to select a file just go to the folder where your 3ds-files are.
Attached there is a screenshot.
Same way you can open obj, skp, and so on.
You can not load any of these files as objects to an existing scene.
Before you can add one of this objects to a scene you have to open it as described above and convert it into an aof-file. Than you can add this new object to your scene.
It is explained in the ATL help.

Hi Janos,
that sounds strange. Are we talking about 3ds or max-files?
Are you working with the 64 bit Alpha? This Alpha can't open other files than atl and aof. If you are working with the original 32 bit version you might open a ticket in support.
Cheers
Patrick

I`m working with the 64 bit Alpha version. I checked the 32 bit version, and I can open 3ds objects with it, but because of the size of my project I have to use the 64 bit Alpha version.
Thanks a lot, you are very helpful I appreciate that

OK, the alpha doesn't contain these import plug-ins. You have to open your 3ds first in the 32-bit Arltantis 3... you have to have it on your computer.
