hi guys, i use artlantis 3 and i was wondering how to make for example a lighting bulb? or a spot light.. i think there could be a combination between the lights option and the object of bulb but don't really know how to combine them, because if the bulb is a light source it wil be lighted and will light the other things too, and making them separately would make the bulb closed and a light that is generated by it. Anyone knows anything about this?

Hi Nicu,
you can't make an object being a light source itself.
Regarding the example of your bulb you can five this bulb a transparent shader like frosted glass or fresnel glass and place the light source inside of this bulb. Than you can choose the angle of this light. In the case of the bulb you will give this light an angle of 360°, choose some shadow around 20 and some soft yellow color.
If the bulb could be seen in your picture you may ad some white (255/255/255) bitmap as a texture to this bulb. Set transparency of this texture around 80. Increase ambience of this white texture up to 1 and it will look as if the bulb is the light source itself.

By changing transparency of shaders and textures of the bulb you can influence performance of this light, too.

Lights in the attached picture were done this way.

The other way would be to ad the neon shader to the bulb. But in this case you can't control softness of the shadows and render time will increase.

Greetings
Patrick

thank you ..
and how can i move the light in the perspective itself? or to make the light take the coordinates or an object i choose automatically.. because taking the coordinates of the object's position and inserting them in the light coordinates gives me headaches :D

I make the positioning of the light source in the 2d-window.
If the tab lights is activated you can move the light source in the 2d-window where ever you want. Just switch between top-, front- and side views to place it.
If the light angle is less than 360° you can see where the light is aligned.
