how to make an object from the catalogue transparent?

Hello, I imagine it has to be quite easy but I can't find the way to do that. Can anybody help me with it? THank youuuuuu

You can manipulate the transparency settings of the object's individual materials - though each type of material (procedural, mapped, etc.) requires you to manipulate different settings. As far as I know, there is no way to set transparency by object, just by material. Maybe someone else is more informed.

Thank you Robert, I knew about the manipulation of the shaders but I think must be a way to do the same with the objects, it would be quite usefull to me at least. Well, thank you again and I'll keep trying.
