Hello to all

I have some problems with curved surfaces with not constant radius, infact the shaders deform like the picture...

There is some command to adjust the texture to the object without deformation?

thanks

hi ?
it is inpossible in my opinion i have try that a few years ago
whit a building buth it don't work you have to make an uv map
for it i am just starting to learn uv mapping and if you are intrested in this
you can look at the daz foum they give some lessons in uv mapping
there is also a freesoft to make the maps

Thanks for the help, but this way needs too much time for me :)

So why Artlantis Teem doesnt do something to change this small problem of the program?
How can be a good rendering program for architecture and desing if is not possible to give a texture to a strange curved surface?....incredible, architecture in 2010 is like that..

really incredible,

PS. what is the difference between Artlantis Studio and Artlantis Render?

maybe you can find other soft wo can do that bhut then you also have to look at pricing and complexity to handel.
second i am not sure off that bhut i think for your object you have to make a uv map somehowe so what the problem
greetings peter-:)
sorry for the englich

In what CAD have you prepared your model? Was the texture correctly mapped there?

A surface that was correctly defined in the CAD with UV map will also work fine in Artlantis. If you change the original texture with any Artlantis material (and choosing the UV option in the mapping list) you will get a correctly textured surface.

General projections such as planar, orthogonal, spherical, etc. cannot define correct mapping of textures on such complex shapes. They require special UVW coordinates you can define only in a CAD software. Artlantis being only a rendering solution, lacks the necessary information about the way these surfaces were modeled and thus it cannot produce the correct distortion of the texture.

HI,
That is not quite so. I have created a curved object in Archicad. And the texture looks right. But at the same time in artlantis it is spoilt, being a uv type texture. Furthermore if I use a shader ( in the UV mode) it is spoilt even more. What is wrong? I have just bought this product (artlantis 3) and am very disappointed.
