The jpeg shaders that I`ve seen for spanish tile roofing are`nt useable for photorealistic renders since they`re flat and generally don`t look good from typical camera angles. I use sketchup/ artlantis and have tried modelling these tiles which works except turning corners and adding ridge caps takes way too much time and effort. Can anyone help ?
Thanks Paul
- You can keep proper distance to the roofs or move the camera a lot while making a video.
- What I do for Dutch roofs is flat tiles in between and maybe make geometry of the edge-tiles(?) of the roofs. You might give these a normal or bump mapping.
- You can not draw roofdetail and setup your scene and camera's and at a later stadium decide to only work out the roofs which get realy near to the viewers eye.
