hello Jark,

go to shaders option and make sure the materials ID parameter is set to max (see image attached).

based on your previous posts you are using Autocad as a modeller. Once again the problem is your welding threshold. It will solve all fasceted problems

Your going to hate my solution. But i know it will work. They may be a better solution.

First of all you need autocad 2005 or older. This means you have to have a 32 bit operating system (ie windows XP).

The new autocad 2006 or newer does not have a Export to .3ds file. So in artlantis you import a .dwg file to work with. Where as in old Autocad 2005 you can export as .3ds (which asks you about what you want the welding threshold to be) and then you import the .3ds into Artlantis. This is the way i've been doing it and it makes your surface smooth if the smoothness bar thing in Artlantis doesnt do what you want it too.

Ofcourse if you do this you'll have to add all your textures again.!!! dunno if theres another way to fix your problem or not.

one more thing you can try

The smoothness bar you dont have to have it at 100%. Try it at 30%, 60%, 80% etc at different values. Sometimes this does work. Someones putting it on max doesnt help so you have to lower the smoothness. Try it.

If the smoothness is not working you likely may need to right click the object and pick the Merge Vertex option. It should allow the smoothness slider to work properly.

It may be worth a shot.

Just ignore my last post, it seems as though the merge vertex option isn't going to solve your problem...

In Autocad you need to smooth previously the materials, the Artlantis smoothing slider won't be enough. There is similar post about this problem, just browse a bit the forums.
