I am planning to buy a new computer and was wondering wether I would notice an improvement in rendering times when upgrading froma a C2D e7200 to an AMD Athlon II 620 x4.
Will i benefit from the extra cores or will I suffer the loss of the L3 cache.
I would be glad if someone could answer.

PD. On an entirely different subject: would 4 gb of ram be enogh to open a 700mb .tif image in photoshop that had been rendered in artlantis?
