Hi i have a question about importing a .3ds file into ATL, the problem is that when i open the .3ds file in artlantis, the object preserves its geometry but doesn`t import any shaders... ussually artlantis should do the same with shaders but the jpg files are located in a different folder than the .3ds file, Do i have to group all elements on a single folder so that artlantis will recognize the shaders in the importing process? or how can i do it successfully? Thanks.

Do you have any warning message about the missing textures during the opening process?
If yes, just select all shaders from the list and locate the folders on your hard-drive. The missing items should disappear from the list, but reappear in Artlantis.
It doesn't matter where are the texture files stored.
Ok now seems that i solved my problem :) but the new one is that when i import my .3ds file it opens the file with a light source that obviously can't let me have a good preview of the object before exporting to .aof... how can i quit this light sources??

You can manage light sources the same as for any Artlantis file: turn them off or set them not active for the camera view.
Start the export from the view you want to have as thumbnail, and you can still add a lightgroup to the object in the export palette afterwards.
