For the benefit of the others, as Abvent support seemingly did not understand the issue, I also checked with Graphisoft.
It looks like the file is too big for Artlantis to handle. The funny thing is, it can not be opened in AutoCAD either, but can in a few other applications.
So it is a mix of the ArchiCAD export creating too many polygons and Artlantis not handling them well - personal opinion.
