Can't export from Sketchup nor open it directly in Artlantis

I'm trying to export from sketchup 7 to artlantis 3 on windows with the official plugin but nothing, it creates all the jpegs with the materials but no .atl
I can't even open my model directly on artlantis cause it just generates a blank canvas.
Sketchup to artlantis 2 was working fine... well not fine but it generated an atl.

What can I do?

I tried reinstalling sketchup and artlantis already, and same problem.
I don't have 3dstudio to export there first and the to artlantis.

Have you tried opening the SketchUp model directly in Artlantis? Open the .skp file inside Artlantis and see if that works...

If not maybe you can share the model and see if we can open it?

You don't need 3DStudioMax to export, from sketchup choose Export---->.3ds and when opening from Art choose .3ds. Should work.

Thank you, I've been struggling with Artlantis's unreliable SketchUp plug ins for years! Now I can just use .OBJ! I wish I'd known.

Don't bother with .3ds files, or even .obj files. I would just stick with the .skp files and work directly from those files since you will no longer need to export any files, just work on the sketchup file when needed and import that in directly to Artlantis. Doesn't get any simpler.

I had the same problem. sketchup pro 7 and artlantis 3.07. When exporting from skp. to artlantis program saved only textures etc no 3d file. When opening skp file directly in artl. I had "unknown file" error.
My solution: export from sketchup to artlantis but before hit ctrl+a to select all your scene and than in export options choose only selected
It worked fine for me !
