I have a question about the lighting of Billboards.
Why are the not affected by lighting like other objects?
For example, I have a couple of night and twilight scenes. In these situations the billboards (plants in this case) need to have their brightness and contrast adjusted to match (as close as I can get it) the lighting conditions. Why can these not be lit like any other 3D object? Or maybe I am doing something wrong?

It's a bit of a nuisance when you want to render some day and night shots of the same scene.

Any comments/suggestions welcome. :)

Thanks in advance.

Yes I would like to see BB's change with the lighting also, as I use a lot of BB's these days to avoid long render times.
