Autocad into artlantis

Hi

Please give me some advice on how to import autocad (aad 2004)model into artlantis. when i open up the dwg file in artlantis alot of elements are missing including the walls. why is that?

If you mean an Architectural Desktop model, you must use either of the following methods to get the objects into ATL. The ADT walls and other elements are not directly visible to any other program.

1. in ADT, select a 3D viewpoint (not a plan or elevation view)

2. either select the "export to AutoCad" command and save the model under a different name (this explodes all the walls etc. into standard 3D surface objects,

OR export your model as a 3DS file

Nikita, as Anssi said, you have toi export all AEC objects (Walls, Windows, Dors, Mass elements, etc..) to simple autocad objects (solids) for that you select a 3D view and type at the comand line: -AecExportToAutoCAD that creats a new file with the add of the frase ACAD at the begining. this file showld be well open in Artlantis by selecting ofcourse .dwg file.
