hi to all,
does anybody of you uses the arroway textures with the high resolutions 6000X6000 pixels? i am wondering how long does the render time of an interior image with those. i am one step before buying them but not sure if i can use them without a render farm.

We have a couple sets of Arroway textures and yes they do slow down the file a bit. The good thing about the textures though is that you can just bring them into Photoshop and reduce the image size to something more manageable as you need. Typically I will drop them down by about 25% just so my computer can still handle it all well. They really do have some excellent textures, bumps and normals in their packages though.

Please never use such a texture with 6000x600 into Artlantis, you will penalized the rendering time for nothing…
Artlantis manage itself the texture, a 600x600 in 72 dpi should be enough.
Only when you know you will be front at 1 meter from a texture you will need to get it in high resolution.

thank you for the advice picard. but for near indoor renders you are always 1 meter away from something so you have to use textures with high resolution. the ones i have with 1024X1024 pixels 72 resolution are not enough for a good result...
