Can anyone advise how to reduce the file size of animations so that they can be burnt to disc. As a guide, they are currently 1min long and over 1G in size?

Hi Geoff

What size render window have you used for your animation?
Can you redo the render at a smaller size?

I recently played around with the freebie Windows movie maker.
In that programe you can place the animation into its movie format. then when saving it out you can specify the maximum file size.
This will reduce the quality but it is a way to get the animation onto disc.

Regards,
Chris

Ps just thought what compression codec have you used?

I have found H.264 to be good at reducing the size.

How do I specify this? I normally use 768 screen size and don't compress from Artlantis at all. I have used Windows movie maker, but this reduces quality too much! thanks

The compression codec is available for Quick time only.
