I have problems with exporting from sketchup to artlantis. If I save as artlantis file or 3ds still I have problems with the layers.I make them a group asign a material but still sometimes a wall window and a floor get the same texture, they are recognised as the same layer.wht can I do or please give some settings to work it out,it would really help me,saveing time.thnx for helping me...
I never have used layers to control my materials in SketchUp. I would guess that for the layered export to work, it would have to be the individual faces, not groups or components, that would have to be placed on the layers. Similarly, when using the normal method of painting, the group-or component-level materials do not translate into ArtLantis, you have to paint the faces inside the groups and components.
Also, the materials should be only applied to the front side of faces, and the faces of objects should be flipped so that only front faces are visible, and the back ("blue") faces are oriented towards the interior of objects. Visible back faces are painted with the default material when exporting to ArtLantis.

well still I think we lose a lot of time in sketchup to flip all faces....hmmm....I see that when I export in artlantis with no option selected(selection or layer) the model is exported almost perfect,thnx:)....
