Hi Everyone,

i have recently downloaded several luighting objects only to find that they open in Artlantis with one single material for the entire fitting. How is it possible to open it so that the material break-up in recognised in Artlantis? Am i doing something wrong or perhaps the object has been made with one single material and we are to separate them ourselves? It seems that if this were the case that for some objects this could be a long and tedious process.

HI Banales,

This has nothing to do with Artlantis. It has to do with how the 3DS-file was exported with the modeler/CAdsoftware.
Bad news I am afraid. If you need to sepsrate the materials manually.

A tutorial on how to do that can be found here: http://www.artlantisobjects.com/html/v1_reapplying_a_new_material.html

I hope this helps you
