I am a relatively new user of Artlantis and wish to create a 3D cubic background (are using Artlantis Studio). The instructions under the help menu simply state:

3D Cubic: creates a 3D environment from a .mov file comprised of 6 surfaces of equal size. To move the 3D background on the horizon, move the slider that is located at the bottom of the editing palette.

Can anyone help me with instructions on how to create and insert a 3D cubic into my artlantis file. This small piece of information does not help me enough and I have never done this before.

Hi Boberg
Have a look at this thread first it may help

http://www.artlantis.com/support/forum/read.php?fid=atl_animation_us&mes=191

Download the panorama view and try it as your movie background by using the '3D (Art.lantis 4.5)' option. The slider at the bottom rotates the images around your viewpoint.

Also if you don't have a full panorama you can use part of an image for perhaps an interior movie (see attached)

Hope this helps
Mike
