This is a great image particularly the texturing. My only problem is the position of the chairs there is no space for your legs it looks really uncomfortable because of this the rug/mosaic is too small.

Really great work for first render in ATL.
Objects and texturing are almost perfect. Only the white curtain on the right side could have a little more structure.
Where did you get this furniture?
The pot of the plant on the left side is missing a drip mat.

Regarding this curtain I would not reduce transparency. Just add some cotton-bump-map and set transparency of this map to 1.
That's the way I received best results for transparent curtains.
Regarding the fabric of your furniture you can also try the fresnel-water-shader. Use this shader and play with the size and the smoothness of the waves. Add the texture of the fabric to this shader and increase the bump-settings. This will have the effect that the fabric does not look to smooth and a little used.

Attached there is a picture of the Dedon Daydream. Here you can see the effects of the fresnel water-shader used for fabric. The pillows, the seat and the curtain are all made with this shader an a texture mapping. The problem you can see here is the little damaged geometry.
